Operational Costs

Operational Cost include all cost connected with the operation of a fork lift truck 

They are calculated from the following details: 

  • Personnel
  • Cost of the equipment (cash, financing or lease)  
  • Service (maintenance and repairs) 
  • Cost for fuel (or battery plus energy consumption) 

by experience, the cost for personnel amount to 80% of the operational costs 

Other factors that influence the operational costs:  

  • the location and the local conditions for the fork lift truck  
  • amount of hours of operation
  • the quality and the type of lift truck used 
  • frequency for service needed  
  • spare parts and other products needed 
  • qualification of the personnel used 

The Operational Costs should be determined and evaluated on a yearly basis. They are used to control the overall operational and become an important factor in the business statement
